I would like to invite the members of your P&C and parents at your school to a special forum with the Federal Minister for Education Jason Clare and Jason Yat-Sen Li, the State Member for Strathfield.

You’ll have the opportunity to hear about our plans to improve Australia’s education system including:

• What future funding should be invested in to improve education outcomes.
• Our plans to ensure all schools are on a path to 100 percent of its fair funding level.
• How we can drive real improvements for students most at risk of falling behind and who need additional support.

I will outline some of the federal government programs and grants I can assist with. Jason Yat-Sen Li will talk about the NSW government’s plans to improve the education system in NSW.

You’ll also hear from other P&C groups about special projects they are running.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions.

Students will get the opportunity to hear about how our Federal Parliament works and will be able to participate in a mock parliamentary debate. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

That’s why we have organised a Cost of Living Help Hub to bring government and non-government services together so you can get the support you need.

Bring your latest electricity, gas and water bills with you so you can see what rebates and vouchers you may be entitled to and get help to reduce your bills.

You will also be able to speak to representatives from:

• Centrelink
• Service NSW
• Sydney Water
• Accessible Diversity Services Initiative Limited and Cass
• Western Sydney Legal Centre – for legal services
• Local NGOs who can provide direct financial relief - The Salvation Army and The Smith Family
• and other federal and state government agencies

Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean and Arabic speaking representatives will be available to assist.

• Abla Kadous – founder and President of Islamic Women’s Welfare Association, Australia's first welfare service for Muslim women, mother of five.
