The Federal and State Labor Governments are working together to make sure every student gets the world class education they deserve, right where they live.

Working with Premier Chris Minns, Labor is building a new much-needed public school for families in Rhodes located between Blaxland Road and Cavell Avenue.

The Albanese Government has committed an extra $4.8 billion to NSW public schools.

The Minns Labor Government has given our teachers the biggest pay rise in a generation and has provided permanent jobs to over 800 local teachers and support staff.

This means our children are spending more time learning in class and more one-on-one attention from their teachers.

We have funded improvements to local schools:

Major upgrade to Concord High School - including 32 new classrooms, 5 specialist classrooms, a new support unit, a new admin and staff facility and a new school hall.

Five Dock Public School upgrade - major floor covering replacement and a roof replacement.

Victoria Avenue Public School upgrade - external refurbishment and repairs.

Abbotsford Public School upgrade - landscaping and garden work.

There is more to do, and Labor will keep working to deliver better schools and more teachers.
