The 2024-25 Volunteer Grants Program is now open for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from Community Organisations.
The program will provide up to $66,225 in grants to community organisations in the Reid electorate. Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 are available to help you support the efforts of Australia’s volunteers.
Information about the Volunteer Grants Program is outlined below with additional details available here.
Community organisations can apply under two Categories:
Category 1:
Communication or insurance items such as mobile phones, internet bills, software, and insurance premiums that will benefit any of the community organisations’ volunteers.
Category 2:
Purchase of items or services for the main purpose of supporting volunteers or volunteer-run activities focusing on the development and wellbeing of children.
For example,
Cat 1: a croquet club applies for funding to purchase an electronic tablet and payment device to collect registration fees and raise funds for the club. This helps the volunteers to administer online payments and keep the club operational;
Cat 2: a community organisation engages student volunteers from the local primary school to run a breakfast club. The organisation applies for funding to purchase aprons and cooking equipment for the student volunteers. This activity helps the student volunteers to develop skills in safe food preparation and social connections.
For more information, please refer to Grant Categories, page 10 of 29 of the Grant Opportunity Guidelines.
Your project must enable your organisation’s volunteers to address the needs of the local community and demonstrate value for money.
