During the election campaign, I consistently heard from residents of Wentworth Point and the surrounding suburbs, just how difficult it is to get in and out of the peninsula.

It's slow, dangerous and there are near-misses and accidents on an almost daily basis.

To fix this, the Federal Government has committed $8.5 million in the Budget, which will fix Hill Road by adding essential traffic lights, flood proofing and other safety improvements.

This investment will help give locals a much-needed break from traffic and get people home to their families more quickly and more safely.
