From 10 December 2025, a new 'social media delay' will come into effect in Australia.
The delay is intended to prevent Australians under the age of 16 from creating or keeping an account on age-restricted social media platforms.
I want to make sure that you have all the information you need to understand how these reforms affect you and your children. So, I am hosting an online briefing with Jerome Laxale MP about the changes.
You're invited to attend the online briefing and hear about the changes. If you would like to attend, please fill out the RSVP form below, and you will be sent an online meeting link closer to the date.
If you can't make it, you can always contact my office for more information by calling (02) 9715 7444 or emailing [email protected], or you can visit the website of the eSafety Commissioner.
